About

Lisa Ryan-Boyle has been a dedicated student of photography since picking up a digital camera years ago and wondering what would happen if she switched out of automatic shooting mode. She took introductory classes at the International Center for Photography in New York, where her curiosity and will to become more competent with the camera grew in parallel and equal parts. For the last two and a half years she expanded the scope of her inquiry as she studied the works of distinguished photographers past and present under the guidance of Carol Dragon. Lisa’s camera, always a bridge to the external world, reveals itself more and more as a means for connecting to, shaping, and expressing her inner vision. For her, photography is both art and practice for continued self-discovery. Lisa is a graduate of Brown University with a concentration in Comparative Literature and has a J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center. She divides her time between Connecticut and Idaho.
